The Major Finding project is about testing and reviewing firearms, optics, accessories and other various
items, related to sport shooting, hunting or “tactical” equipment.
We do not just test al kind of equipment but we also produce videos and reports about it. Our goal is to let our readers participate in our experience so that they can save themselves any bad purchases and find the right equipment for theyr projects straight away. Through the feedback via our social media channels, we can find out together where the best equipment is available for the relevant tasks and where it pays to buy cheaper alternatives - or not.
Since we are based in Austria, the focus will be mostly on Austrian and European products and manufacturers. Not least since the outbreak of the pandemic in march 2020, it has become clear how important it is, to have alternative solutions nearby. But because there are very cool and useful aftermarket products all over the world, we´ll try to cover stuff from other countries as well.
Our second goal is to educate and inform people on firearms in general. There are still many misconceptions about guns and their benefit for civilians, which we would like to clarify – or at least tell our own opinion about it. The widespread belief among many people who have never fired a weapon before, that all wars and disputes would end, if only there were no more firearms, not only contradicts history but is also ridiculous.
Evaluate, Adapt, Improve
Every item that we review, is tested objectively and realistically - that's why our reports are as unbiased as possible. All reports and videos only reflect our own opinion and this very opinion cannot be bought.
That is one major difference between us as reviewers, and others who are just influencers.
Our goal is to provide useful information and not to be someone´s mouthpiece.
Basically, all items discussed in our articles, are on loan from supporters of the project or are our own. In the very rare case that an item is provided to us by a manufacturer, this is mentioned in the review.
A student says to his master:
”You teach me fighting, but you talk about peace.
How do you reconcile the two?"
The master replies: "It is better to be a Warrior in a Garden,
than a Gardener in a War.”
All work on firearms should be carried out by a licensed individual and all state and federal rules apply to such. Our videos are for documentary and educational purposes only.
All actions performed in these videos are carried out by and/or under the supervision of trained professionals.
Always follow the 4 rules of gun safety!
